The researcher developed four specific objectives, four research questions and four hypotheses that guided the study. The research design employed was ex post facto. This design is selected and implemented due to the researcher's lack of control over the various elements of the design. The data for this study is preexisting, therefore it is utilized for a secondary data analysis. The study's population comprised twenty-two (22) designated deposit money banks in Nigeria. This study employed the judgmental sampling technique. The sample size is made up of two (2) DMBs which includes United Bank for Africa Plc, Fidelity. The data for this study were obtained from the published financial statements of the chosen publicly traded deposit money banks in Nigeria. This study employed an estimated technique that involved the use of descriptive statistics and Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis. The E-view-9 software was utilized to carry out the analysis. The study established that net interest margin is statistically significant and has a positive effect on operating income (OI). The researchers suggested that Banks should monitor and manage the duration gap between assets and liabilities, considering potential interest rate changes and the bank's risk appetite. Banks should explore opportunities to diversify income sources by offering a broader range of financial products and services, such as wealth management, insurance, and asset management.
2024-06-04T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Authors https://journal.hmjournals.com/index.php/JMC/article/view/4301 The Role of the Balanced Scorecard in Strategic Cost Management and Strategic Performance Evaluation (An Applied Study in the Middle East Investment Bank) 2024-06-04T06:09:50+00:00 Bushra Hamid Hasan Alosami bshry945@gmail.com Miaad Abdulkadhim Jard AL-Kefari meaad.jard@qu.edu.iq Yasir Majeed Dahdooh yasir.dahdooh@qu.edu.iq
The balanced score card technique is among the modern strategic techniques in the field of cost and administration that aims to evaluate the strategic performance of economic units due to their reliance on financial and non-financial indicators. Therefore, this research aims to highlight the role of the balanced scorecard technique in evaluating strategic performance compared to the traditional systems that are used in this field, as the latter rely on financial indicators only. The research reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is that the balanced scorecard technique plays a major role in evaluating strategic performance, surpassing the performance evaluation process that is carried out under traditional systems related to this matter, whose scope of work is narrow because it relies only on financial indicators. We conduct a granular analysis of how Traditionalists (born before 1946), Baby Boomers (1946 1964), Generation X (1965-1980), Millennials (1981-1996), and Generation Z (1997-2012) perceive and value FWAs. The paper meticulously examines how specific FWA options, including compressed workweeks (scheduling full-time hours over fewer days), remote work (performing duties from a non-office location), and flexible hours (adjusting start and end times), can contribute to enhanced well-being and productivity for employees across the age spectrum. By gaining a nuanced understanding of the multigenerational perspective on FWAs, organizations can design targeted strategies to promote work-life balance, ultimately fostering a more engaged and thriving workforce.
2024-06-04T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Authors https://journal.hmjournals.com/index.php/JMC/article/view/4307 Effect of Service Quality on Repurchase Intention through Customer Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable 2024-06-04T06:57:17+00:00 Rahmat Kurnia Batubara rahmatkurniabatubara@gmail.com Yeni Absah rahmatkurniabatubara@gmail.com Vivi Gusrini Rahmadani Pohan rahmatkurniabatubara@gmail.com
This research aims to analyze the effect of service quality on repurchase intention through customer satisfaction as an intervening variable at Public Fuel Filling Station Number 13227108, Jalan Jenderal Besar A.
