- Accounts. Authors, reviewers and editors who register are responsible for keeping their login details secure and for the accuracy of the information they submit.
- Acceptable use. Do not attempt to disrupt the platform, access other users' accounts or unpublished manuscripts, or submit material that is plagiarised, fabricated or infringes others' rights.
- Automated access. Crawlers and AI agents are welcome within the rules in robots.txt, which state our content-use preferences. Structured summaries are available at /llms.txt.
- Research integrity. Corrections, retractions and appeals follow our publication ethics policies.
- No warranty. Articles reflect the views of their authors. Content is provided as is; HM Publishers is not liable for decisions made on the basis of published research.

Privacy
- What we collect. Names, email addresses, affiliations and ORCID iDs supplied when you register or submit; manuscript files; and standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited).
- Why. Only to run the editorial process, publish articles, register DOIs with Crossref, and keep the platform secure.
- What is published. Author names, affiliations and ORCID iDs appear with published articles and are sent to indexing services and Crossref as part of normal scholarly publishing.
- What we do not do. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
- Your choices. You can update your profile at any time, or ask us to correct or delete your account data, subject to the permanence of the published scholarly record.
- Each journal also publishes its own privacy statement under About › Privacy Statement.
