Data Availability Policy

Data Availability Policy

JIPIRS encourages authors to make the underlying data of their research available to support transparency, reproducibility, and the re-use of scientific data.

Data Availability Statement

All manuscripts submitted to JIPIRS must include a Data Availability Statement (DAS) at the end of the manuscript (before the References section). The DAS should describe where the data supporting the results reported in the article can be found, including links to publicly archived datasets. Acceptable statements include:

  • "The data that support the findings of this study are openly available in [repository name] at [DOI or URL]."
  • "The datasets generated during and/or analyzed during the current study are available from the corresponding author on reasonable request."
  • "The data that support the findings of this study are available from [third party] but restrictions apply to the availability of these data. Data are available from the authors upon reasonable request and with permission of [third party]."
  • "No new data were created or analyzed in this study. Data sharing is not applicable to this article."

Recommended Repositories

Authors are encouraged to deposit data in publicly accessible repositories prior to submission, including: Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad, IEEE DataPort, the Harvard Dataverse, or subject-specific repositories (e.g., Remote Sensing repositories, NASA Earthdata). A dataset DOI should be cited in the manuscript.

Image and Software Data

Where the research involves processing algorithms or software tools, authors are strongly encouraged to share the source code under an open-source license via platforms such as GitHub or GitLab, and to archive a permanent snapshot in Zenodo or equivalent.
