Digital Preservation & Archiving Policy

The Journal of Environmental Impact and Management Policy (JEIMP) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. The journal participates in the following digital preservation initiatives:

PKP Private LOCKSS Network (PKP PLN)

JEIMP participates in the PKP Private LOCKSS Network, a distributed digital preservation system operated by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP). The PKP PLN ensures that published content is preserved in a network of distributed servers and remains accessible even if the journal ceases publication.

CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)

JEIMP is enrolled in the CLOCKSS archive, an international collaboration of academic publishers and libraries providing a sustainable, affordable, and globally distributed dark archive for scholarly content. Content preserved in CLOCKSS is available to readers worldwide in the event of journal discontinuation.

OJS/PKP Platform

The journal is hosted on Open Journal Systems (OJS) maintained by PKP, which provides infrastructure-level backup and redundancy. All article metadata and full-text PDFs are preserved on the platform server with regular backups.

Self-Archiving Rights

Authors are permitted and encouraged to self-archive the final published version (Version of Record) of their articles in institutional repositories or academic profile pages (e.g., ORCID, ResearchGate) immediately upon publication, in line with the journal's CC BY 4.0 licence.
