JSRTH encourages authors to make the data underlying their research openly available wherever legally and ethically permissible. Authors are required to include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript as a separate section before the References.

Acceptable Data Availability Statements:

  • "The data that support the findings of this study are available from [institution] but restrictions apply to the availability of these data. Data are however available from the authors upon reasonable request and with permission of [institution]."
  • "All data are contained within the manuscript."
  • "No new data were generated for this study. This is a review/conceptual paper."

Recommended repositories include: Dryad, Zenodo, figshare, Harvard Dataverse, and OSF (Open Science Framework).
