Retraction, Correction and Editorial Concern Policy
Retraction, Correction and Editorial Concern Policy
The Journal of Corporate Finance Management and Banking System (JCFMBS) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the published scholarly record. This policy follows the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Corrections (Erratum / Corrigendum)
If a published article contains a minor error that does not affect the conclusions of the work, a correction notice will be published. An Erratum is issued when the error was introduced by the publisher; a Corrigendum when introduced by the authors. The correction notice will be published in the next available issue and linked bidirectionally to the original article via CrossMark. The original article will be updated online with a note indicating the correction and its date.
Retractions
An article may be retracted if one or more of the following conditions apply:
- There is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to misconduct (data fabrication or falsification) or honest error.
- The article constitutes plagiarism of a substantial portion of another work.
- The results have been previously published elsewhere without proper cross-referencing (duplicate publication).
- The work contains unethical research that has not been approved by the appropriate ethics committee.
Retraction notices will be published in the journal, linked to the original article, and the original article will be permanently watermarked "RETRACTED" with the date of retraction. Retracted articles will not be removed from the online record.
Expressions of Concern
If the Editor-in-Chief has inconclusive evidence of misconduct or is awaiting the outcome of an institutional investigation, an Expression of Concern may be published pending resolution.
Procedure for Reporting Concerns
Concerns about published work should be submitted in writing to editor.jcfmbs@gmail.com. The Editor-in-Chief will conduct an initial assessment within 14 working days and, if warranted, initiate a formal investigation following COPE guidelines. Authors will be given the opportunity to respond to any allegations before a final decision is made.
This policy applies to all articles published in JCFMBS from Volume 1 (2021) onwards.
