Data Availability Statement Policy
JHTD encourages and, for certain article types, requires authors to make the data underlying their research openly available wherever legally and ethically permissible. All submitted manuscripts must include a Data Availability Statement as a separate section before the References.
Acceptable Data Availability Statements
- "The data that support the findings of this study are openly available in [repository name] at [DOI/URL], reference number [Ref]."
- "The data that support the findings of this study are available from [institution/body] but restrictions apply to the availability of these data due to [reason, e.g., patient privacy]. Data are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request and with permission of [institution/body]."
- "All data relevant to the study are included in the article or its supplementary materials."
- "No new data were generated or analysed in this study. This is a systematic review / review article."
Recommended biomedical data repositories: Dryad, Zenodo, figshare, Harvard Dataverse, OSF (Open Science Framework), NCBI (for genomic data), Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), and ArrayExpress.
