Digital Preservation and Archiving Policy

Digital Preservation and Archiving Policy

JHTD is committed to ensuring the long-term availability and preservation of all published scholarly content. The journal participates in the following digital preservation programs:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): As a journal published on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, JHTD is enrolled in the PKP Preservation Network for automated, ongoing digital preservation through LOCKSS-based distributed archiving.
  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe): JHTD participates in the LOCKSS program, which enables participating libraries worldwide to create and maintain archival copies of all published content.
  • Self-hosting Archives: Complete archives of all published volumes and issues are maintained on the journal server. The full archive is accessible at [JOURNAL URL/archive].

Authors are also encouraged to deposit the published version of their article (Version of Record) in institutional repositories, PubMed Central (PMC), and disciplinary repositories such as Europe PubMed Central (Europe PMC).

In the event of journal discontinuation, all published content will remain freely accessible at the journal's permanent URL and will be transferred to a designated institutional or disciplinary digital repository to ensure permanent availability.
