Data Availability Policy

Research Data & Data Availability Policy

JLEP encourages authors to make their underlying research data openly available wherever legally and ethically permissible. Authors are required to include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript, appearing before the References section.

Acceptable statement examples:

  • "The data that support the findings of this study are openly available at [repository name/URL], [DOI]."
  • "The datasets generated and analysed during this study are available from the corresponding author on reasonable request."
  • "No new data were created in this study. Data sharing is not applicable."

Authors are encouraged to deposit data in open repositories such as Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad, or institutional repositories, and to provide a persistent identifier (DOI). Where ethical restrictions, privacy obligations, or legal constraints prevent data sharing, authors must clearly explain these restrictions in their statement.
