DIGITAL PRESERVATION & ARCHIVING POLICY

Digital Preservation and Archiving Policy

The Journal of Production, Operations Management and Economics (JPOME) is committed to the long-term digital preservation of all published content. We recognize that permanent and reliable access to scholarly literature is essential for the advancement of knowledge.

Preservation Arrangements

JPOME ensures the permanent digital preservation of all published articles through the following arrangements:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): As an Open Journal Systems (OJS)-hosted journal, JPOME participates in the PKP Preservation Network, which provides distributed preservation using the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system.
  • Internet Archive: Published issues and articles are periodically archived with the Internet Archive (archive.org) to ensure additional redundancy.
  • Publisher Servers: HM Publishers maintains multiple backup copies of the complete journal archive on geographically distributed servers.

LOCKSS System

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. Libraries interested in participating in LOCKSS should visit the LOCKSS website at https://www.lockss.org.

Author Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their published articles (the Version of Record, i.e., the final published PDF) on institutional repositories, personal websites, or preprint servers at any time before, during, or after publication. No embargo period applies. For details, see our Author Self-Archiving Policy.

Continuity in Case of Journal Closure

In the event that the journal ceases publication, HM Publishers will ensure that all archived content remains permanently accessible through PKP PN and will notify the academic community of any changes to access arrangements.
