RETRACTION, CORRECTION, AND EXPRESSION OF CONCERN POLICY
RETRACTION, CORRECTION, AND EXPRESSION OF CONCERN POLICY
JPOME follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines (publicationethics.org/retraction-guidelines) in all cases of research misconduct and published error.
1. CORRECTIONS (Erratum / Corrigendum)
A correction notice is issued when a published article contains a minor error that does not affect the results or integrity of the work. The article will be updated and the correction clearly linked.
2. RETRACTIONS
A retraction is issued when: findings are unreliable due to honest error or misconduct (fabrication, falsification, plagiarism); the work has been published elsewhere (duplicate publication); or authorship is disputed. Retracted articles remain on the website clearly marked 'RETRACTED' with reason and date. Articles are not deleted.
3. EXPRESSION OF CONCERN
Issued when an investigation is ongoing and readers should be alerted to possible unreliability of published work.
4. HOW TO REPORT
Contact editor.jpome@gmail.com with subject 'Integrity Concern – [Article DOI]'. All reports are treated confidentially. Investigations follow COPE flowcharts. Authors are given an opportunity to respond before any decision. The editorial team will acknowledge reports within 5 working days and complete investigations within 60 days
