JOURNAL HISTORY AND BACKGROUND
Journal History and Background
Founding and Mission
The Journal of Production, Operations Management and Economics (JPOME) was established in 2021 by HM Publishers with the mission to create a rigorous, open access, internationally peer-reviewed platform for scholars working at the intersection of production systems, operations management, and applied economics.
The journal was founded in response to growing demand for an accessible, high-quality publication venue that bridges the gap between theoretical frameworks and real-world operational challenges in production environments globally.
